Heart Fund Application

Friends of Gilpin County Community Center (FGCCC) established the Heart of the Community Fund to ensure that all Gilpin County residents have access to recreational activities, regardless of financial situation.

This fund is supported by a generous grant from the Alan Green Memorial Foundation and donations from community members. We can (at our discretion) cover facility or activity fees, as well as sports equipment, subject to funds availability. Please read this page for more details on what we will fund and our procedures.

We ask that you submit your application at least 10 days before funds are needed. You will be notified as soon as a decision is made. If approved, FGCCC will pay directly to the community center on your behalf. If you are requesting funds for youth sports equipment, we will consider the request on a funds-available basis. If approved, we will provide a reimbursement and will request copies of receipts before funds are released.

Please note: our ability to grant requests is always dependent upon the availability of funds. Applicants may submit one request per applicant/family per year so that we may serve as many people as possible.

Note: All applicants must be registered with the Gilpin County Community Center. If you are not, please complete the online registration form here: Parks and Rec Registration
