The Gilpin County Fair is coming up on July 11-13th, starting with a parade on Friday morning from Central City to Black Hawk. If you’re out and about, come on over and wave “hi” to all the floats! We’ll be in the parade, tossing out candy and waving to all our friends and neighbors.
As usual, the Fair is chock full of fun events and vendor booths featuring arts, crafts, food and drink. Events start on Friday afternoon and continue til 4 p.m. Sunday. It’s an amazing Fair and in years past, we’ve talked to people who have come from all over the state (and beyond) to attend!
Come visit us at our booth during the fair. We’ll have sweet treats, free water for both humans and doggos, and you can learn more about us and our future activities, including an Astronomy Day in August, and other events this fall.
In the meantime, the fair committee is still looking for volunteers to work various parts of the fair. You can offer as little as two hours or as much as you can. To volunteer for the Fair, go here. If you’d like to volunteer for other activities, we have a form here that you can use.
