How Can I get Involved?

Friends of Gilpin County Community Center welcomes any applicant who is interested in helping at events and activities of FGCCC and the Gilpin County Community Center. All volunteer time is needed and appreciated. We can’t do it without YOU!

    Please identify any 2026 events below where you may be able to help and put the dates on your calendar. In advance of each date, you will receive a notice and request to select a specific task/time if you are able to help:

    May 9 – Wined Up 5k FGCCC fundraiser: solicit prizes, set up and serve snacks, drinks and wine.May 30- Spring Clean Up Day: External grounds clean up outside the Community Center, trail, and ball field. Help FGCCC with volunteer registration, snacks and beverages. Volunteer to pull and cut weeds, pick up trash, etc.July 17 – 19 – Gilpin County Fair: Staff FGCCC booth serve coffee, wine and beer. Volunteer to work at the fair putting up signs, parking attendant, keep grounds tidy, monitor fabric arts entries, general help.August 20 – Maintenance Week inside Community Center: Volunteers to help with inside clean up. (Wipe down exercise equipment, clean windows, wash baseboards). FGCCC will provide lunch.October 30– Spooky Stroll: Help FGCCC serve hot drinks and snacks. Manage a Halloween game, give out candy on spooky trail.November 28, Turkey Trot 5kRun Fundraiser for FGCCC: Help obtain prizes, Serve snacks, drinks and wine.December 12 & 13 – Winter Arts Festival: FGCCC needs help to organize and sta� a food concession. Set up and serve food and drinks.
