A Safe Destination for Youth and Teens
After-school camp, Friday camp, and the open basketball court have provided a fun and safe meetup space for kids since the Community Center’s opening in 2003. For parents who work regular hours, the community center fills the critical after-school time gap.
Programs are currently offered for After School Camp from 4:15 pm – 6 pm, and Full Day Fridays from 7:30 am – 6 pm. Due to a staff shortage, there will be no youth camp during spring break March 22 – 26.
Before sending your child to camp, fill out a 2021 enrollment packet and read through the parent handbook.
The completed enrollment packet can be emailed to Jacob Rippy or handed in at the front desk. This must be done at least one day before your child starts camp.
Once the enrollment packet has been completed, you will need to register for the days you want your child to attend camp. For instructions on creating a family account, updating your children’s information, and making a reservation, visit the Gilpin Parks and Recreation site and click on the Youth Camp tab. You will also need to sign up for a drop-off and pickup time, also available on the Gilpin Parks and Recreation site.
